Escape the city and discover the natural beauty of the High Atlas Mountains on this full-day experience from Marrakech. 

This tour offers a unique combination of scenic landscapes, traditional Berber life, 

and excellent birdwatching opportunities in one of Morocco’s most diverse regions.

Your day begins with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech.

Leaving the city behind, we head south toward the High Atlas Mountains, where the scenery quickly transforms into a mix of fertile valleys, terraced fields, and small Berber villages.

As we drive through these cultivated areas, we make several stops to explore the surroundings and observe local birdlife commonly found in farmland and open countryside.

This region provides a great introduction to Morocco’s resident species.

Continuing higher into the mountains, the landscape becomes more rugged, with rocky slopes and open plateaus.

Here, we search for species adapted to higher altitudes and mountain environments, while enjoying panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

We arrive at Oukaimeden (2,600 meters), a remarkable high-altitude site known for its unique ecosystem. 

This area offers excellent opportunities to observe alpine and endemic species in a peaceful and remote setting.

Depending on the season, we may explore areas near the snowline, where specialized bird species can often be found. 

We take time to walk, observe, and fully enjoy the natural beauty of the region.

In the afternoon, we begin our return journey to Marrakech, with optional scenic stops along the way.
